On the heals of a Runner’s World article on why Black Women don’t run, ESPN-W follows up with the story of Ari Nichole Parker who not only dropped 30 pounds, but found a product that essentially says “No Excuses” in the process. Both articles point out that among women, the fear of hair disaster prevents many from exercising, pointing almost exclusively at Black women. But regardless of color, shape, size or religion, hair should not be a reason not to exercise.

I know there are many of you out there who are obsessed with your hair (Adam), but now apparently you can have your run and preserve your hair with Save Your Do.
Personally, I do not have fabulous tresses that must be maintained at all costs and in fact use as little hair care products as feasibly possible (because regardless of what I do I look like a dork), but for those of you who are obsessed with with hair fashion and refuse to look like a homeless person post run (or workout), you now have a solution. And no more excuses…
That is hilarious! I’d get one but then it would save my crappy looking do!
I gotta say, if this thing really keeps your hair dry, I’d probably wear one! I hate how sweaty my hair can get on a run – though I’m less concerned about maintaining any real style.
part of me wants to snark all out at this but part of me says, well if it gets people exercising, then have at it ladies and gents.
I guess I don’t mind looking like a homeless person. Good know there’s a product for me just in case I did. Cheers!
I am the most lazy hair person out there, I hate dealing with it….so I don’t! Ponytails rule!
I run in the morning so early that it doesn’t matter what my hair looks like. I come home, wash and blow dry it and it’s good to go. I can’t imagine not running because I was worried about messing up my hair. But funnily I can imagine not swimming for just that reason. I’m a female – I was born to make no sense.
My partial baldness requires headcover before running just to keep from burning up there. So obviously, I don’t have much of a ‘do to save…
caring about how my hair looks????????????? never.
how my feet look?????????????? always.
So let me get this right. With this, I could not only get that just out of the salon look, but it would also make me faster? DONE!
Hey, if this gets someone else else out on the road, I’m all in!
